Role Overview
Join a precision-driven assembly team and report to the Assembly Manager. In this role, you will assemble fabricated and machined components, safely rig and load trucks via overhead cranes, and ensure machines meet blueprint specifications and quality standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Assemble small subassemblies through large machinery to specification.
- Operate overhead cranes independently to rig and load trucks.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics with full proficiency.
- Select appropriate tools and equipment to execute the production schedule.
- Conduct final inspections to verify quality compliance.
- Complete monthly safety training and apply safe work practices.
- Support internal stakeholders and external customers; provide backup coverage as needed.
- Maintain a neat, organized, and safe work area.
- Welding capability preferred but not mandatory.
- Model and promote BCT’s Culture and Core Values.
Required Qualifications
Strong mechanical aptitude for assembling fabricated / machined components.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Attention to detail; thoroughness; problem-solving ability; decisive with follow-through.Mathematics : add, subtract, multiply, divide, and perform metric conversions.Basic mechanical knowledge.Education & Experience
Overhead crane experience (required).3+ years’ relevant experience in a manufacturing or similar setting (required).Industrial heavy machine assembly (preferred).Hydraulics experience (plus).Technical Proficiencies
