[job_card.job_description]This position is not exclusively Cardiac / Echo imaging. Must be proficient in general sonography as well Location : 11800 Wilshire Blvd AND 1919 Santa Monica Blvd. Required : Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) 2+ years performing echocardiographic studies Comfortable and proficient with general sonography / ultrasound scans BLS Preferred : Previous outpatient experience Primary Duties and Responsibilities Demonstrates clinical competency and technical skills as Sonographer Uses appropriate techniques with ultrasound equipment to supply diagnostic studies based on physician request. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment for diagnosis Demonstrate capability to provide high-quality imaging Maintains knowledge about advanced imaging features to support enhanced capturing of data Appropriately acquire echocardiographic measurements per protocol, and create digital preliminary reports for the interpreting physician, and verbally communicate preliminary findings to the interpreting physician Ability to review a physician's order to verify the appropriateness of order being performed Acts as a role model in providing care; assists in precepting Cardio Sonographers I. Retrieves studies from PACS for review Performs appropriate infection control processes Provides an environment of care that supports patient safety Addresses patient educational needs as pertains to requested studies Prepares patients for the study Supports IAC Standards and Guidelines
