Job Summary
As a PreOp / PACU Registered Nurse, you will collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to provide top-notch patient care using the nursing process. Your responsibilities will include conducting nursing assessments, assisting with examinations and treatments, offering patient education, and maintaining accurate medical records. Our organization recognizes RNs with varying levels of experience, from newly licensed RNs under supervision to those with over 10 years of experience.
Shift / Schedule : Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 2 : 30 PM - 11 : 00 PM with on-call requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education : Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Licenses / Certifications :
- Current State of Texas license or temporary / compact license to practice professional nursing.
- Certified in Basic Life Support.
- Additional certifications may be required based on specific disciplines and nursing unit needs.
Experience / Knowledge / Skills :

Provide safe and appropriate care to patients, taking into account the nursing skills inventory and the unique needs of each patient.Coordinate nursing care with an interdisciplinary team and make informed clinical decisions for optimal patient outcomes.Collaborate with and lead the healthcare team to achieve positive results based on clinical data and professional standards.Develop and implement treatment and discharge plans tailored to each patient.Engage in ongoing evaluation of programs and processes while measuring success against client-centered outcomes.Address the diverse needs of patients throughout their care, maintaining high service quality standards.Comply with all regulatory and Texas Board of Nursing standards.Ensure a safe environment for patients and staff by adhering to all organizational policies and budgetary specifications.Promote personal and professional growth by engaging in required education and skill development; may serve as a mentor for less experienced staff.Perform other duties as assigned.
