ERP Manager - Business Central / Navision

On-site in Houston, Texas

Our client, a leading player in the manufacturing industry, is looking to hire a talented and experienced ERP Manager to oversee their global Business Central / Navision system. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in ERP management, particularly within Business Central / Navision, and a passion for driving large-scale transformations.

Reporting directly to the Group IT VP (CIO), the successful candidate will take the lead on a critical global project : migrating multiple Business Central / Navision instances into a unified Cloud-based ERP system (SaaS), while also managing future transitions to an SAP core ERP system. This is a high-impact role, offering a unique opportunity to shape the future of the companys global IT landscape.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead the migration of several hosted Business Central / Navision systems into a single Cloud-based ERP tenant, with multiple instances.
  • Oversee the technical design, development, and testing of core Business Central applications.
  • Manage the integration of various ERP modules and applications into Business Central.
  • Support the implementation and customization of Business Central, providing global user support.
  • Work closely with key internal stakeholders to gather requirements and design custom development plans.
  • Ensure system integrity by translating business processes into technical ERP configurations.
  • Advise on best practices for installations, modifications, and custom developments.
  • Create and modify reporting within Business Central to meet business needs.
  • Lead code reviews and provide mentorship to team members.
  • Identify additional opportunities for training, modules, and consulting services to enhance ERP capabilities.
  • Foster effective communication with all levels of the organization, from technical teams to executive leadership.

Ideal Candidate : Experience :

  • 10+ years in managing Navision or Business Central systems.
  • 4+ years in a leadership or team management role.
  • Extensive experience with ERP operations and support, including cloud-based solutions.
  • Strong background in translating business processes into ERP configurations.

    • Education :

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • MB-800 certification (preferred).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical, solution-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong leadership qualities and technical expertise in ERP systems.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, and in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to manage cross-cultural teams and resolve issues effectively.
