Senior Mechanical Engineer Commercial HVAC

Job Summary

This position will provide engineering support for the design build projects and work with our team of Project Managers and Sales Professionals to review and recommend engineered HVAC solutions and designs coordinate and quality check outsourced engineering resources determine and process utility incentives prepare permit documents for small mechanical project determine load calculations and other engineering duties.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Develops an engineering scope of work recommends equipment selections and other pre-construction activities.
• Mechanical designs for central chiller plants package units split systems air handling units variable refrigerant volume units and other mechanical systems
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
• Prepares preliminary (redline) design layouts for estimating.
• Responsible for the quality of work produced by third party engineering consultants.
• Participates in conceptual design for specific projects.
• Performs site inspections to verify equipment selection.
• Performs calculations for a project such as heating / cooling loads equipment selection and sizing pipe and duct sizing friction loss calculations etc.
• Works with our team of Project Managers throughout project design and construction
• Perform Heating Cooling Load Calculations and Title 24 Compliance calculations.
• Prepares and delivers client presentations.
• Help to develop write and review client proposal documents including financial and technical sections.
• Interacting in a professional manner with other EMCOR / Mesa departments (ie. Operations chiller teams project management service etc.)
• Demonstrate a personal commitment to your growth and development.
• Other duties and special projects as directed.

Geographic Disclosure

Compensation Range : $136000 - $160000 per year
