BI Developer

Hobby Lobby is searching for a talented, innovative, and driven BI Developer with a minimum 2 years of experience in completing Business Intelligence design and development projects. Primary Functions / Job Description Develop business intelligence solutions to satisfy immediate and long-term priorities with solutions ranging from traditional reporting to more modern, interactive reporting solutions. Work on business intelligence projects in coordination with multiple team members with different abilities and skills. Work directly with business leaders to get beyond the initial 'ask' to understand the underlying business needs, critical path, and timeline surrounding key goals. Communicate effectively with business partners throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with project managers and development teams to implement analytical solutions in coordination with custom application development. Utilize Kimballs methodology to implement data models to support static reports, interactive reports, and self-service analysis. Effectively use SQL development skills, SSRS reports, SSAS Tabular Models, and Power BI Visuals to implement business intelligence solutions. Required Qualifications One of the following : Bachelors Degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field. Proven experience working in an IT environment. 2 years post-college experience in data analytics and / or data science. Basic knowledge of dimensional data modeling techniques. Advanced SQL development skills. Basic understanding of developing tabular models for SSAS. Strong understanding of developing reports using both SSRS and Power BI. Basic understanding in the use of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) in Power BI. Ability to facilitate Business Intelligence projects from concept to realization with guidance. Must have experience working directly with business leaders to understand objectives and gather requirements. Must be a motivated self-starter who can work independently and also seeks out opportunities to work collaboratively with others. Ability to manage concurrent projects at different stages of completion.
