Job Description

Business Analyst contractor for an approximately 6 month engagement for the Election Voter Registration Database project. ***ONLY local candidates that live within 60 miles of downtown Raleigh will be considered for this position! The Business Analyst will be responsible for converting the business requirements into functional requirements and working with the architects in the design phase of this project. This individual will be knowledgeable in all aspects of business analysis and functional requirements documentation and has a basic understanding of project management and system development life cycle as well as porting efforts from legacy applications to new solutions. The individual must have proven experience with enterprise level development projects. The Business Analyst will work closely with client Project Manager in assisting with solution documentation to meet State IT requirements.

Role responsibilities:

• Analyze, define, and document functional requirements from business requirements
• Document the projects and project deliverables as assigned
• Work with the PMO Manager, Project Manager, Business Customer and project team
• Develop and document test plans, scenarios and scripts
• Analyze and estimate feasibility and compatibility with other programs and projects
• Consult with users to prototype, refine, test, and debug solution to meet Change Management needs
• Provide quality control for project deliverables

Skills Required:

• Business Process Analysis, requirements development and documentation
• Experience working at PMO and Program Level and coordination of deliverables across multiple efforts
• Planning and management skills including scope estimating, budgeting and resource allocation procedures
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
