About Us : Spectrum Center Schools and Programs, a dynamic organization driven by a social mission, is seeking an Area Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our award-winning Special Education team. As the Area Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide customized speech therapy services to meet the unique needs of students across various Spectrum School locations. Your role will involve direct instruction, evaluations, consultations with families and educational teams, and active participation in IEP meetings.
Key Responsibilities :
- Evaluate students to identify speech-language therapy needs and define service levels.
- Develop and implement individualized speech therapy plans based on assessments and student strengths.
- Set collaborative, student-centered goals in partnership with families and educators.
- Monitor student progress through data-driven assessments and adjust therapy plans accordingly.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy using evidence-based methods.
- Document therapy sessions and maintain accurate case records.
- Communicate proactively with families about therapy schedules and progress.
- Collaborate with educators and service providers to integrate therapy goals into daily routines.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to review student progress and treatment recommendations.
- Mentor educators and staff to ensure effective implementation of therapy plans.
- Oversee the quality of speech therapy services across multiple locations.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with best practices.
- Travel regularly between assigned Spectrum School locations to provide support and oversight.
Qualifications Required :
