Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit:The Department of Social Work and Gerontology (https://swk.uncg.edu/) has 18 full‐time faculty. The department is one of ten departments or programs in the School of Health and Human Sciences (https://hhs.uncg.edu/) at UNCG. Social Work faculty have a history of excellence in teaching, scholarship, and professional service. The department offers BSW and MSW programs. The school offers support for both research (https://hhs-sites.uncg.edu/office-of-research/) and instructional technology (https://hhs.uncg.edu/instructional-technology/).
Position Summary:We are seeking an Academic Professional Track Assistant Professor to teach social work courses across the BSW and JMSW Programs. This is a 9-month appointment. The Academic Professional Track offers non-tenured rankings of Assistant Professor through Professor, with an emphasis on teaching and other professional and service responsibilities. Appointments are renewable on a yearly basis.
