Developmental Editor (NYC Hybrid)

Overview

Avon is currently seeking a Developmental Editor to develop commercial ideas and edit manuscripts for the Avon A imprint. For this role the emphasis is on developing original content and editing manuscripts rather than seeking agent submissions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates edits and developscommercial projects for the Avon A imprint.
• Brainstorms ideas for new projects and reaches out to authors to write them.
• Negotiates contracts.
• Contributes to and participates in short and long term development and growth of the

publishing program.

The salary range for this position is $65000-$80000. We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company.
