The Onboarding Specialist is a key driver of the new hire experience, partnering across the enterprise to deliver a people-first onboarding journey rooted in servanthood, empathy, and virtue, ensuring new team members and hiring leaders feel supported, informed, and set up for success from day one.
Responsibilities
- Draft and distribute offer letters
- Process, track, and maintain new hire documentation, including background checks, employment verifications, drug screens, and required onboarding paperwork.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for candidates by responding to questions and providing guidance throughout the offer and onboarding process.
- Partner with hiring leaders to address questions or issues related to offers and onboarding requirements, ensuring timely resolution.
- Maintain and update onboarding status tracking tools to ensure accurate, real-time visibility of candidate progress.
- Identify opportunities to enhance onboarding processes and improve the overall candidate experience through continuous feedback and collaboration.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong internal and external customer service skillsExcellent organizational and interpersonal skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Strong Excel skills are a plus.Prior ATS experience is a plus.Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment and communicate / work well with others.General knowledge of Talent Acquisition and / or Human Resources best practices and processes.Education / Experience
High School Diploma required.1 year of customer service experience in a high volume fast-paced environment is preferred.Experience with multi-state environment preferredLogistics / Trucking Industry experience a plusExperience with rapid and complex changing work environmentCompetitive Compensation
