Job Description :

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Natural / ADABAS Developer to join the development and support team responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and supporting the statewide SNAP / TANF Eligibility Determination system.
  • The role includes integrating with other systems, implementing automation, and providing on-call support.

Requirement / Must Have :

  • Enterprise system programming experience in Natural and COBOL batch programming utilizing ADABAS database in a Linux environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex SNAP and TANF eligibility determination systems in a Linux environment using Natural One IDE and MicroFocus COBOL.
  • Experience in analysis, design, and programming of large or complex development projects on large-scale IBM Mainframe or Linux systems.
  • Experience with automated eligibility determination systems, including SNAP, TANF Eligibility, SNAP E&T, Benefits, and Benefit Recovery.
  • Ability to provide recommendations for system and process enhancements.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and updating documentation for procedures, policies, and processes.
  • Knowledge of SNAP and TANF eligibility, economic assistance policies and procedures, and related state and federal mandates.
  • Experience interpreting, designing, and implementing federal and state mandates in Linux systems.

    • Should Have :

  • Strong oral and written communication and time management skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and willingness to provide on-call support.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to complete team projects and resolve technical problems.
  • Ability to develop creative solutions and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with SCRUM or Iteration methodologies.
  • Experience with Jira Software.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience converting outdated technologies to modern systems.

  • 10+ years enterprise programming with Natural and COBOL using ADABAS.
  • 6+ years experience with large-scale development projects.
  • 6+ years experience working with SNAP / TANF eligibility systems.
