Plumbers Apprentice

Our client, a commercial and residential plumbing & HVAC supply company, is seeking a Plumbers Apprentice that will be responsible for oil and gas burner services. This candidate will work at the shop but mainly in the field servicing residential.

Duties :

• Safely install pipes, fittings, valves, appliances, and plumbing fixtures according to blueprints, schematics, and building codes.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing systems, including fixing leaks, replacing worn fixtures, and clearing clogged drains.
• Identify and resolve issues with malfunctioning plumbing, gas, and drainage systems using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge.
• Inspect and test newly installed or repaired pipe systems to ensure they are airtight, watertight, and meet all performance and safety standards.
• Ensure all work adheres to federal, state, and local plumbing codes and regulations.
• Safely use hand and power tools, such as pipe cutters, threaders, drills, saws, and welding equipment.
• Interact with clients, explain work performed, and provide estimates for repairs or installations.

The store is open 8 : 15 - 5, Monday through Friday & 8 : 30-2 : 00 on Saturday. Your shift will be slightly varied as you share coverage with co-workers. Total 40 hrs.
