JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary / Objective : Operation of spiral winder and cut-off saws and other miscellaneous equipment to fill customer orders.

  • Read and understand spec sheet and production orders to set-up machines correctly to produce a quality product.
  • Measuring calipering and checking the overall quality of the tolerances per spec sheet.
  • Understanding all machine operations to cut the product to spec sheet / customer specifications.
  • Operate the machine effectively and efficiently to minimize waste.
  • Analyze packaging and make adjustments when needed.
  • Identifying quality deficiencies and ability to identify and perform corrective action.
  • Ability to communicate finished product on production order.
  • Comply with safety regulations / procedures and maintain clean and orderly work area.
  • Must be willing to accept and receive supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up and other essential tasks assigned.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. bend stoop and twist throughout the work day.
  • Thread winders to produce a quality core utilizing various layers of paper.
  • Perform Snake Lace technique continuously to secure tubes for transport.
  • Tie bundles pack boxes stand on end etc.

    • Shifts Available : 3rd Shift Monday - Thursday 8PM-6AM. Starting rate of pay is $27.19 / hour.
