A-Level or B-Level Technician at South Shore Kia

Location : South Shore Kia, Copiague, Long Island, NY Position : A-Level or B-Level Technician Schedule : Full-Time

We’re seeking a skilled A-Level or B-Level Technician to join our service department. Kia experience is preferred but not necessary, as we are willing to provide training for Kia Certification. Responsibilities :

Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on Kia and other vehicle brands

Complete a variety of mechanical services, including but not limited to :

Engine diagnostics and repair

Brake system repair and maintenance

Transmission repair and servicing

Suspension and steering system repairs

Electrical system diagnostics and repairs

Air conditioning and heating system repairs

Use diagnostic tools and software to accurately identify and address vehicle issues

Communicate effectively with service advisors to ensure customers are informed of repair needs

Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and cleanliness standards

Mentor and assist junior technicians as needed

Mechanical Qualifications :

Proven experience as an A-Level or B-Level Technician in a dealership or independent automotive service center

Proficient in advanced diagnostic tools and techniques for various vehicle systems

Mechanical expertise in the following areas :

Engine and powertrain systems

Brake and suspension systems

Electrical systems and troubleshooting

Transmission and drivetrain systems

Air conditioning and climate control systems

Ability to perform New York State vehicle inspections (NYS Inspector’s License required)

Familiarity with Kia vehicles is a plus, though not required (training to become Kia Certified available)

Additional Qualifications :

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality

Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

ASE Certified
