Industry: Financial TechnologyWe’re looking for a Systems Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise infrastructure across multiple environments. This role covers end-to-end architecture, configuration, administration, optimization, and documentation of systems and networks, ensuring high availability and performance.
Most Important Responsibilities:- Design, test, deploy, and support complex infrastructure solutions – including hardware, software, and standards – focused on delivering measurable business value.
- Administer enterprise systems spanning computing, storage, virtualization, cloud, and backup environments; oversee lifecycle management, capacity planning, upgrades, and incident/change management.
- Manage critical and high-visibility changes while ensuring operational efficiency. Function as a liaison with Engineering, Security, and other technical teams to coordinate initiatives and resolve recurring issues.
- Maintain the availability, security, and operational integrity of the infrastructure stack.
- Establish and enforce policies, procedures, and best practices for system management and monitoring.
- Coordinate vendor engagements for software and appliance updates; handlehardware tuning and integration.
- Coordinate systems and information security assessments in partnership with internal security teams.
- Communicate project updates and support efforts across the organization.
- Operate independently with limited supervision, effectively prioritizing work, and proposing solutions to complex problems.
What you can bring to the table to impact this role, team, and organization:- 2+ years of administering Windows, Linux, and/or cloud-based infrastructure.
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, IIS, DHCP, DNS, and Linux server.
- Proficiency with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar).
- Understanding of virtualization platforms (VMware) and storage protocols (SAN/NAS).
- Strong networking knowledge: LAN, routing, switching, VPNs, DNS, VLANs, and Layer 2/3 protocols.
- Disaster Recovery planning and execution experience.
- Familiarity with endpoint protection, spam filtering, patch management, and certificate/key management.
- Experience monitoring systems to proactively identify issues and support forensic analysis.
Bonus Experience/Skills:- Expertise with VMWare, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Linux Server.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code or automation tools (Ansible, Terraform).
- Office365 and Exchange Online administration.
- AWS and/or Azure administration.
- Mail security solutions (Mimecast).
- Backup solutions (Veeam, Rubrik).
Compensation: $110K + 4% bonus
