As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal in a retail location, you will actively patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a visible presence. This role requires carrying a firearm and driving as part of your daily responsibilities. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with the public, and uphold our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first while helping to maintain a secure environment for everyone.

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and adhering to site-specific policies at the retail location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing armed security-related protocols as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail environment and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas within the retail location to help to deter theft, vandalism, and / or disruptive behavior.
  • Document observations, incidents, and / or activities in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed, following established procedures for armed security-related posts.
  • Communicate professionally with retail staff, visitors, and local law enforcement as necessary.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or an equivalent program.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Hold a Level III armed certification if located in Texas.
  • Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a corrections officer license.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
