Overview: As an Overnight Tech at our sober living house, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of our residents during nighttime hours. This position requires attentiveness, empathy, and a commitment to supporting individuals in their journey towards sobriety. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and structured environment while providing support and assistance as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitoring:
- Maintain a presence throughout the facility during overnight hours to ensure the safety and security of residents.
- Conduct regular rounds to check on residents, ensuring compliance with house rules and regulations.
- Monitor security cameras and respond promptly to any disturbances or emergencies.

Support:
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to residents who may be experiencing difficulty during nighttime hours.
- Assist residents in accessing resources and services as needed, including contacting emergency services or on-call staff members.
- Foster a supportive and non-judgmental atmosphere conducive to recovery.

Enforcement of Rules:
- Enforce house rules and policies consistently and fairly, addressing any violations promptly and appropriately.
- Document any incidents or concerns in accordance with established procedures.
- Collaborate with the management team to address any issues or concerns that may arise.

Emergency Response:
- Respond to emergencies, including medical emergencies, behavioral crises, or security incidents, following established protocols.
- Administer basic first aid or CPR as needed, and coordinate with emergency services as required.
- Maintain a calm and composed demeanor during high-pressure situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents.

Communication:
- Maintain clear and effective communication with other staff members, providing updates on any significant events or developments during the shift.
- Communicate any concerns or observations regarding residents' well-being to the appropriate personnel.
- Document shift activities and resident interactions accurately and thoroughly.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a residential treatment or sober living environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of addiction recovery principles and practices is preferred.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with the capacity to handle emergencies effectively.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain certification).
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in psychology, social work, or a related field is a plus.
- Must be dependable, responsible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
