As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer at a bustling retail or mall location, you will conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming atmosphere. You will remain visible throughout the premises, offering exceptional customer service and clear communication. At Allied Universal, we pride ourselves on teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required for this dynamic and engaging role.

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the retail or mall location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to observe for unusual activity and report any security-related matters as needed.
  • Collaborate with onsite staff and Allied Universal management to communicate issues and provide support during emergencies or incidents.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities accurately and promptly according to site protocols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
