We are looking for a skilled Loans Specialist / Collections Specialist to join our team in Savannah, Georgia. In this Contract to permanent position, you will be responsible for managing various aspects of loan and account collections within the banking industry. This role requires a proactive approach to resolving outstanding accounts while maintaining positive relationships with clients.

Responsibilities :

• Monitor and manage overdue commercial and consumer accounts to ensure timely collections.
• Communicate with borrowers to address payment issues and negotiate repayment plans.
• Analyze loan histories, including home equity and auto loans, to identify discrepancies and resolve account concerns.
• Collaborate with internal teams to implement effective collection strategies.
• Document and update account statuses and actions taken in compliance with company policies.
• Review billing statements and ensure accuracy in collection processes.
• Assist in the recovery of delinquent accounts while adhering to regulatory standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service to maintain strong relationships during the collection process.
• Stay informed of industry best practices and changes in collection laws.
• Prepare detailed reports on collection activities and account statuses for management review.
• Proven experience in commercial and consumer collections within the banking industry.
• Strong knowledge of credit and collection processes, including billing and account recovery.
• Familiarity with home equity loans and auto loans.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze account histories and resolve discrepancies.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation and reporting.
• Understanding of regulatory standards in collections.
• Capacity to work collaboratively with internal teams and clients.
