Commercial Cleaning Supervisor

Supervisor Position

We are seeking a supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for overseeing multiple facilities and employees.

This is a Monday - Friday evening position that does require a weekend rotation. Responsibilities include:

• Facilitating communication between quality assurance, clients & custodians to insure all needs are being met
• Performing quality assurance inspections and correcting deficiencies
• Training staff

Requirements:

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must have previous experience coaching & supervising multiple positions/employees.
• Cleaning is required as we are a janitorial service.
• Shift is Monday - Friday beginning at 5:00 p.m. and ends at 1:30 a.m.
• Bilingual preferred - strong verbal/written communication & average math skills a must. Must be able to write reports and manage budgets.
• Valid Driver's License and Background Check required.

Must have supervisor experience and commercial cleaning experience.

Job Position Description:

Supervisor responsibilities include organizing employee shifts, training and motivating team members. This position plays a critical role in ensuring all staff stays on task and complete all assignments to standards. To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of cleaning principles and team management abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Training cleaners on standards, products, processes and procedures
• Oversees staff performance and ensures all assignments are completed in accordance to set task schedule
• Train cleaners on task schedules specific to individual accounts
• Perform inspections and give constructive performance feedback to staff members
• Assign shifts and make necessary adjustment in case of call off or no shows
• Respond to customer complaints and request in a timely and caring manner
• Ensure compliance with safety and OSHA regulations
• Use proper PPE where required
• Opens and locks facilities, enable and disable security system as required.
• 1-2 years' experience as a custodian, janitor, housekeeper a plus but not required
• Will provide on the job training to those with strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Experience working for a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital or school is a plus.
• The ability to be flexible, work at a fast-paced and in a multi-tasked job is a must.
• Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude and contribute to the overall team effort including being in uniform, dependable and on time
• Has respect and understanding for co-workers and customers
• Must be able to communicate in English. Bilingual is a plus

Physical Demands and Qualifications:

• Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching over head, reaching forward. Must be able to lift and and/or carry 25lbs.
• Ability to read cleaning instructions
• Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and uses

Compensation: $19.00 per hour
