Role Overview
The Junior Infrastructure Architect supports the design and documentation of network and hosting infrastructures within an aircraft manufacturing environment. Working in a team of senior architects, the role involves contributing to connection dossiers and hosting dossiers, while assisting multiple internal business units in deploying their applications across highly controlled and safety-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and documentation of network architectures (LAN / WAN, routing, switching, firewalls) supporting manufacturing, engineering, and operational systems.
- Assist in preparing connection dossiers and hosting dossiers, ensuring they meet aerospace industry constraints such as traceability, compliance, and configuration control.
- Support internal business units (engineering, production, supply chain, quality, etc.) in deploying their applications on shared infrastructure.
- Help maintain infrastructure standards, network topology diagrams, and documentation aligned with industrial IT and cybersecurity requirements.
- Collaborate with operations, security, and application teams to ensure smooth integration and connectivity across production sites.
- Learn and apply best practices in network, hosting, and documentation processes within a regulated industrial context.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Foundational knowledge of networking (routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls).Basic understanding of hosting environments, virtualization, and industrial IT concepts.Strong interest in documentation, technical writing, and structured processes.Ability to learn quickly in a complex, safety-critical environment.3-5 years minimum of experience in network engineering, system administration, or industrial IT.Personal Attributes
