  • Job Summary :

    The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) provides strategic financial leadership for the organization and oversees all aspects of financial management within the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring financial stability, supporting operational excellence, and aligning financial strategy with the organization's mission to deliver quality patient care. The CFO will manage budgeting, revenue cycle operations, reimbursement, and compliance while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

    Key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to :

    Financial Strategy & Leadership

    • Develop and execute the company's financial strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
    • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
    • Partner with the CEO and executive team to drive growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
    • Financial Planning & Analysis

    • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
    • Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
    • Monitor key metrics and performance indicators to guide business performance.
    • Prepare and present financial reports to executive leadership.
    • Accounting, Reporting & Compliance

    • Oversee all financial reporting and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
    • Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with auditors, banks, and investors.
    • Cash Flow & Capital Management

    • Manage liquidity, cash flow, and capital structure to ensure financial stability.
    • Evaluate and execute financing strategies, including debt and equity management.
    • Oversee investment decisions and risk management activities.
    • Team Leadership & Development

    • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting teams.
    • Build a culture of financial discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Foster collaboration between financial and clinical teams to support patient care and operational goals.
    • Supervisory Responsibility :

      The CFO directly supervises the Controller / Director of Finance, the Revenue Cycle Manager, the Credentialing Specialist, the Medical Transport Driver, and related contracted staff.

      This role involves direct supervision and active management of staff, including :

    • Participating in the recruitment and selection of new hires and ensuring appropriate orientation and training.
    • Supervising, mentoring, and supporting staff to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
    • Providing direction, coaching, and guidance to foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
    • Monitoring productivity and ensuring efficient, high-quality performance.
    • Conducting performance evaluations, delivering constructive feedback, and implementing performance improvement plans as needed.
    • Ensuring compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
    • Coordinating and promoting ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
    • Encouraging continuing education and career growth.
    • Leading regular staff meetings to maintain effective communication and collaboration across teams.
    • Qualifications and Leadership Competencies : Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required.
    • CPA designation strongly preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of progressive financial management experience in the healthcare industry, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership position with direct supervisory responsibilities.
    • Proven track record of managing financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning in a complex healthcare environment.
    • Experience with organizational growth, systems implementation, and process improvement.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, superior Excel skills, and the ability to learn other software applications readily. Must be willing and able to continually keep informed of changing technology to properly perform the objectives of the position.
    • Demonstrated experience leading finance teams, managing revenue cycle operations, and ensuring regulatory compliance and audit readiness. Deep understanding of healthcare finance and reimbursement models.

    • Work Environment :

      While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting. This position is 100% in-office due to the nature of the responsibilities.

      Compensation & Work Schedule :

    • Full-time : 40 hours / week.
    • Exempt.
    • Day Shift : Monday - Friday; flexible hours between 7 : 00AM and 5 : 00PM.
