The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee both the strategic direction and day-to-day execution of the procurement program. This role is ideal for someone with experience in construction or a related industry, particularly with purchasing electrical and mechanical equipment.
You'll be responsible for translating technical requirements into accurate purchasing decisions, managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines, and ensuring materials and equipment are delivered on time and on budget. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, technical aptitude, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key vendors and suppliers
Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to drive long-term value
Create and manage procurement schedules aligned with production and project timelines
Serve as a subject-matter expert for technically complex products and materials
Review drawings and specifications; prepare RFQs and issue accurate purchase orders
Expedite materials and resolve supply chain issues as they arise
Partner closely with project teams to support successful execution
Provide cost reporting, budget analysis, and cost-to-complete forecasts
Collaborate with accounting to ensure timely and accurate vendor payments
What We're Looking For
Proven leadership experience managing direct reports
Background in procurement within construction, manufacturing, or a related technical field
Experience purchasing electrical and mechanical equipment
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
High attention to detail with the ability to interpret technical specifications
Proficiency with ERP systems and comfort learning company-specific purchasing software
Strong organizational and planning capabilities in a deadline-driven environment
Proficiency with Office, SharePoint, and Adobe applications
Fluency in English (written and verbal)

Compensation & Benefits
Salary : $90,000–$125,000 annually, depending on experience
