The Specialty Scheduling Coordinator is an experienced clerical staff member responsible for coordinating patient appointments involving multiple resources and / or complex record gathering (including records from external entities) to facilitate accurate scheduling. The coordinator is also responsible for follow-up including communicating with all stakeholders (verbally, written and electronically). The Specialty Scheduling Coordinator is typically assigned to one or two specialty areas, for example : image-guided biopsies, stat radiology exams / procedures, Bone Marrow Transplants (including work-up procedures / preparations, caregiver education classes), infusion / chemotherapy and radiation procedures. The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications : 2 years scheduling experience in a hospital or clinic with complex scheduling algorithms.
