Financial Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Accounting/Finance team. This role combines advanced data analytics to support financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making across our retail and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate has experience with large data sets, strong technical accounting skills, and the ability to communicate insights that drive business performance. Additionally, this individual should be proficient in data visualization and modeling. This role is based out of our corporate office in Salt Lake City.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Business Intelligence

• Collect, clean, and validate sales, inventory, and expense data from ERP and POS systems.
• Build and maintain dashboards to track KPIs such as sales performance, gross margin, inventory turnover, and ROI.
• Perform data analysis and identify trends impacting store-level and corporate profitability.
• Develop forecast models based on comparative performance metrics and implement improvements as the business grows.
• Automate recurring reports for executives, regional managers, and other stakeholders.
• Provide actionable insights to support pricing, merchandising, and operational decisions.

Accounting & Financial Management

• Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial statements.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, revenue, and expenses across multiple retail locations.
• Support the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
• Assist with annual audits and other regulatory reporting.

Cross-Department Collaboration

• Partner with merchandising, operations, and supply chain teams to align financial results with business strategy.
• Deliver financial and analytical insights to senior leadership periodic and ad hoc reports.
• Work with IT and data teams to enhance reporting tools, data structures, and system integrations.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field required.
• 3–7 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or Data Analysis (manufacturing and retail industry preferred).
• Experience with large-scale ERP systems (strong SAP experience highly preferred).
• Proficiency with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Looker).
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced formulas, financial modeling).
