Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Electro-Mechanical Technician to work on-site with our client, a top-tier Fortune 500 electronics company. As a W2 employee you will have access to health benefits.
Responsibilities:
The Aerospace and Defense Custom Solutions Automation team in Santa Rosa, CA is seeking an Expert R&D Electro-Mechanical Technician to support electronics production test automation systems. This person will provide general support for a broad install base of automated robotic systems both in Santa Rosa, CA and Penang, Malaysia. The primary responsibility will be in support of preventative maintenance and documentation of existing systems. Additional responsibilities will include internal customer front line support including test station integration into the automation, support of NPIs (New Product Introduction) into automation, and capacity balancing between and within systems. This person must be able to easily interface with multiple internal customers and balance the needs of various production lines. This position is critical to the success of our internal automation test strategy and has the potential for significant bottom line impact.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventative maintenance activities on mechatronic automated test systems
- Maintain preventative maintenance documentation and make improvement recommendations where appropriate
- Create preventative maintenance documentation as required
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues in the automation
- Provide CPI feedback to automation engineering
- Work with production line partners to develop NPIs into automation
- Assist with assembly and test of automated systems when directed
- Provide backup to other automation technicians
Qualifications:
- An Associate's degree in Electro/Mechanical technology with a minimum of 10 years related experience
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills
- Must have excellent mechanical assembly skills and intuition
- Sound knowledge of mechanical/electrical/software principles as related to automation
- Familiarity with PLC based robotics and associated controls
- Background in pneumatics, electronic controls, and 3 phase power
- Familiarity with LAN/RS232/Modbus control
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, CAD, PLC, Data Collection & Analysis)
- Be able to successfully manage multiple projects
- Ability to operate basic power tools such as drills, saws, and grinders
- Be familiar with typical machine shop tools such as mills, lathes, band saws, etc.
- Be willing to travel occasionally (Domestic and Foreign)
- Must be US Person
