Telemundo Arizona (KTAZ / KHRR) in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Assignment Desk Editor - Multiplatform who thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly changing newsroom. This position is at the heart of our daily news operation, serving as the nerve center of newsgathering while also playing a key role in digital and multi-platform content production .

The ideal candidate will not only manage traditional desk duties but also adapt to audience trends , help shape coverage with relevant context for younger and digital audiences , and ensure our journalism resonates across broadcast, digital, and social media.

Responsibilities

• Story Discovery & Logistics

Monitor desk phones, scanners, wires, social media, and community contacts for breaking and developing news.

Publish and update news content across digital, OTT, and social platforms , ensuring timely and engaging coverage.

Work together with producers, anchors, and reporters to maximize resources and coverage.

Identify enterprise story opportunities aligned with station research and leadership direction .
