ResponsibilitiesSierra Vista Hospital is seeking for the Assessment & Referral Department. If you're passionate about working in the behavioral health setting and have the desire to join a team of healthcare professionals dedicated to serving our patients, we want to hear from you!
The Psychiatric Assessment & Referral Clinician manages inquiry calls, schedules assessments, and performs psychiatric assessments for individuals presenting as an appointment or walk-in. Clinicians provide clinical summary and recommendation based on their findings, consult with the psychiatrist, and refer/ admit individuals to the appropriate lowest level of care based on the psychiatrists orders. Additionally, provide community referrals as indicated and desired by the individuals. May be responsible for initial insurance pre-authorization of admitted patients with-in hours. Required to assist in maintaining an organized and clean department by wiping down work stations at their shift end, auditing and data entry of referrals and calls, re-stocking documents and forms and filing as time permits. Managing the bed board accuracy.
