Our client is currently seeking a Coordinator, Logistics

Job Title : Coordinator, Logistics

Location : Weston, FL 33331

Duration : 1+ Years

About the Role We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to support domestic and international logistics operations. This role requires experience in transportation, distribution, and inventory management, with a focus on ensuring efficient and cost-effective delivery of products. The position follows clearly defined procedures and guidelines, requiring a solid understanding of logistics routines and the ability to make decisions based on established practices.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze transportation and distribution systems to ensure efficient and economical product delivery.
  • Review proposals and recommend modifications in rates and transportation regulations.
  • Evaluate freight classifications, tariff rates, and operating efficiency to ensure proper delivery of products.
  • Plan and coordinate fleet operations, including acquisition, scheduling, maintenance, repair, and disposal of trucks.
  • Manage relationships with third-party transportation companies (3PLs) and hire common carriers as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support inventory management processes to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare reports and provide recommendations to improve logistics operations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2+ years of logistics experience (domestic and international).
  • Knowledge of transportation systems, freight classifications, and tariff rates.
  • Experience in inventory management is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently within well-defined procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics management systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Familiarity with compliance standards and operational efficiency practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to recommend process improvements.
