Part Time Didactic Visiting Professor

Chamberlain College of Nursing seeks Part-Time Nursing Faculty interested in teaching with our BSN Nursing program.

You will be teaching students in the role of facilitator role model coach and advisor. Incorporating Chamberlain Care philosophy to educate and embolden diverse nursing professionals in a culture where students and colleagues thrive and cultivate extraordinary nursing graduates.

Chamberlain University courses follow an 8-week session plan : there are six 8-week sessions each calendar year (Jan-Feb Mar-Apr May-Jun Jul-Aug Sep-Oct & Nov-Dec).

Part-time professors lead asynchronous discussions and teach  2 synchronous live lectures each week on Wednesdays; one between 7am-12pm Central Time plus one between 5pm-9 : 30pm Central Time.  Additionaly professors will be available via email online conferencing or telephone to provide support and respond to students enquiries in a timely manner.

• NR222 - Health and Wellness
• NR228 - Nutrition Health & Wellness
• NR 283 - Pathophysiology
• NR293 - Pharmacology
• NR 302 / 304 - Health Assessment
• NR 324 / 325 - Adult Health / Med-Surg

Responsibilities : Course Preparation :

Provide students with a Chamberlain University approved syllabus that follows the established template and includes terminal course objectives.

Technological Integration :

Use appropriate technological options for online technologies and course-related software including websites e-mail and online discussions for preparing the course and making it accessible to students.

Communication :

Model effective oral and written communications that engage students provide clarity and improve student learning.

Course Management :

Set clear expectations for the course by publishing course terminal objectives assignment / examinations dates and weight distribution of various evaluation categories.

Additional Information :

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country the expected compensation rate for this position is between $715 / Earned Credit Hour to $1950 / Earned Credit Hour depending on the candidates education and experience.
