Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to perform lab bench analytical and organoleptic testing of fragrances and related raw materials. This role involves conducting sample testing using various analysis methods and maintaining lab equipment and consumables.

Responsibilities

• Perform sample testing for production and internal labs using organoleptic, physical, and chemical analysis.
• Conduct basic laboratory maintenance and cleaning.
• Ensure that all lab consumables are replenished in a timely manner.
• Comply with all safety rules and guidelines, and report any potential issues.
• Comply with the chemical hygiene plan and actively participate in departmental and company safety meetings, training sessions, and activities.
• Perform performance checks and / or calibration of instrumentation.

Work Environment

This role is based in an industrial environment where you may be exposed to mild odors. Safety equipment such as eye protection, steel-toed shoes, and lab coats are required. The position follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 11 : 00 am to 7 : 30 pm, with occasional Saturday shifts approximately every six weeks. When a Saturday shift is worked (6 : 00 am - 12 : 00 pm), the following Monday is a day off. This will apply after permanent hiring and full training, which takes at least six months. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00 / hr.
