Zachari Dunes, A Curio Collection by Hilton is seeking a talented Banquet Operations Manager to drive our banquet services. Nestled amid the enchanting ocean breezes and sandy dunes of Mandalay Beach, Zachari Dunes embodies a welcoming atmosphere, refined sophistication, and quintessential SoCal charm. Here, guests can indulge in thrilling adventures, exquisite dining, and serene relaxation.

In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with the Hotel Assistant General Manager to oversee a dedicated team of 35 - 40 professionals in all aspects of banquet operations.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a knack for driving innovation, and a commitment to fostering a positive and growth-oriented culture while delivering unforgettable guest experiences. At least three (3) years of banquet leadership experience in an upscale environment is essential.

What will I be doing?

As the Banquet Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in managing the daily execution of all banquet functions to ensure exceptional service and financial success. Your responsibilities will include :

  • Overseeing and executing various banquet functions such as breakfasts, coffee breaks, luncheons, dinners, cocktail receptions, and galas.
  • Managing the set-up of function rooms, ensuring proper placement of linens, silverware, glassware, and chinaware in accordance with event specifications, followed by a thorough inspection.
  • Supervising and developing team member performance through scheduling, evaluations, and recognition initiatives.
  • Recruiting, interviewing, and training new team members.
  • Communicating function details and any procedural changes to all relevant departments including Food and Beverage, Event Services, Property Operations, Audio Visual, and Housekeeping.
  • Overseeing the breakdown of function rooms and ensuring correct storage of all equipment.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards.
