[job_card.job_description]2+ years of CT Tech experience required Trauma experience required Experience with all patient populations required Previous travel experience highly preferred Every other weekend schedule No on-call responsibilities Perform accurate image identification and documentation in patient records including proper consents, orders, and screening forms Determine portion of body to be imaged and properly position patients for optimal imaging Follow proper policy and protocol for procedures as outlined in protocol guides and hospital policy Maintain work area in neat and clean condition Perform routine equipment cleaning and operations checks Set, adjust, manipulate, and control department specific CT equipment Position patients and various body parts for radiologic exams using proper collimation and patient shielding Process images to PACS system and produce technically excellent images Utilize ALARA principles to reduce radiation exposure to staff and patients Use Hospital Information System (HIS) to obtain patient information, verify orders, complete charges, and process studies Utilize proper safety techniques to scan patients and provide excellent quality imaging Required certifications : ARRT, BLS (AHA) Illinois Radiologic Technologist License required Skills checklist current to 1 year required Facility will not consider local candidates within 50-mile radius Referral bonus
