The API / Java / Python Developer is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of software applications and APIs using Java and Python programming languages. This role often involves a combination of backend development, API integration, and sometimes includes aspects of cloud-based solutions. This position is located in USA VA Arlington; hybrid working model is acceptable. / ph2Your Future Duties And Responsibilities / h2p Design, develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable applications and APIs using Java and Python. This includes writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.br Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices, ensuring secure and efficient communication between different systems and applications. This also involves integrating third-party APIs and services.br Work with various database systems (e.g., SQL and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL) for data storage and retrieval.br Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, product managers, and QA teams, to define requirements, integrate components, and ensure seamless functionality.br Optimize code and system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to security best practices in data handling and API authentication.br Cloud Integration (Optional) : If applicable, implement and integrate cloud services and APIs (e.g., AWS, Azure) for cloud-native solutions and deployments.br Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and enhancements for existing applications and APIs. / ph2Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role / h2p Bachelors degree and / or 0 to 2 years of experiencebr Active TS / SCI and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS / SCI with CI Poly.br Proficiency in Java and / or Python programming languages and associated frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Flask, Django).br Strong understanding of API architectural styles (e.g., REST, GraphQL, SOAP) and experience with API development tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger UI).br Familiarity with database systems (SQL and / or NoSQL).br Experience with version control systems like Git.br Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).br Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.br Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).br Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). / ppCGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $100,000.00 - $150000.00.
