    • Job Summary

    The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative (PSR I) plays a key role in patient care and laboratory operations, serving as the face of the company for individuals seeking diagnostic testing. This role focuses on drawing high-quality blood samples, ensuring specimen accuracy, and providing a professional, compassionate experience for every patient. The PSR I upholds company values of excellence, safety, and confidentiality while ensuring accurate documentation and efficient service delivery.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily specimen collection and processing activities accurately and on time.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
  • Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for testing.
  • Follow all established forensic and clinical collection protocols .
  • Ensure accurate labeling and recordkeeping of all specimens and related documentation.
  • Promote a positive image and provide excellent customer service to patients, clients, and the public.
  • Adhere to company Leadership Behaviors and demonstrate commitment to process excellence.
  • Remain flexible for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

    • Required Experience

  • Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required.
  • 1+ year of experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or healthcare environment preferred.
  • Proficiency in keyboard and data entry skills required.

    • Required Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in certain states, including CA, NV, WA).

  • Phlebotomy (pediatric, adult, and geriatric proficiency)
  • Specimen collection and preparation
  • Data entry and documentation accuracy
