Security Guard - Media Building Patrol

As a Security Guard - Media Building Patrol in Chesapeake, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence within tech, media, and telecom locations. Your role will involve monitoring assigned areas, interacting with employees and visitors, and providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate : $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule :

Day Time Mon 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Tue 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Wed 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Sun 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any suspicious behaviors or situations discovered during patrols.
  • Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and / or client representatives regarding incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and contractors with access control procedures and provide general information as needed.
  • Support emergency response efforts, including evacuation procedures and incident reporting, in accordance with site-specific protocols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Possession of a Guard Card or security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
