Job Description

Job Summary :

The Equipment Operator is primarily responsible for safely and environmentally proficiently operating surface heavy equipment. Excavator experience is a MUST.

Supervisory Responsibilities :

Does not have any direct reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Follows all company safety and environmental policies and all federal regulations (OSHA, MSHA, FRA, EPA, DOT, and SDDANR, IADENR).
• Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment such as skid steer, loader, excavator, motor grader, dozer, and haul truck.
• Perform and document a pre-shift inspection on equipment.
• Must be able to perform minor servicing and maintenance on mobile equipment as needed.
• Communicate with the shop / manager on equipment maintenance or repair needs.
• Responsible for the housekeeping of the equipment.
• Able to assist in plant repairs and clean-up.
• Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
• All other duties assigned.
