Amentum is seeking a Construction Inspector for Creech Air Force Base. Essential responsibilities include developing official project punch lists under guidance, witnessing specified testing, serving as a point of contact for environmental support organizations, assisting with departmental operations, and performing all other position-related duties as assigned. The annual starting salary rate for this position is between $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually. Minimum position knowledge, skills, and abilities required include an AA degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field and three years' experience within various construction disciplines as a skilled craft worker or foreman. Combination of education, training, and experience can be substituted in lieu of degree. Possession of ICC IBC Building code, NFPA 70 code and other pertinent inspector certifications is highly desirable. Equivalent education/experience in one or more of the following construction fields: civil/structural, mechanical, electrical, fire alarm systems, building controls systems. Previous work experience on government construction projects is preferred. Position may require travel. Position requires the ability to pass and maintain a US Government security clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a US Government security clearance. Possess a valid state issued driver's license.

Work environment, physical demands, and mental demands include typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting with occasional use of computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines. Some positions involve work in environments where mechanical equipment, etc. is installed, tested, analyzed/monitored, operated, and/or maintained. Equipment may be loud and noisy or have exposed moving components. Such positions may involve routine lifting to 50 pounds, regular handling, grasping, kneeling and carrying, and constant use of vision and mental alertness is required.
