Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive E-Billing Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day billing activities and lead a team in ensuring accurate, timely, and client-focused invoicing. This role plays a critical part in supporting firm revenue operations by maintaining billing integrity, streamlining processes, and partnering with key stakeholders across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of Billing Analysts, ensuring the accurate and timely preparation, review, and submission of client invoices.
- Monitor and manage the team’s workload, productivity, and quality of work to meet internal deadlines and client expectations.
- Act as a primary point of contact for resolving escalated billing issues and inquiries from attorneys, clients, and internal departments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Pricing, Risk, and eBilling to resolve invoice submission issues and client compliance matters.
- Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure proper documentation of billing procedures and support training of new team members.
- Generate and review billing reports and metrics to ensure consistency and to track team performance.
- Support change management efforts, including system updates or process enhancements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of billing experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Legal billing or professional services experience strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with billing systems and eBilling platforms Elite, Aderant, BillBlast, or similar).
