The Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) will join the longest-standing hospital-based midwifery practice in San Francisco, attending births in a state-of-the art Family Birth Center. This clinical setting offers expanded options to patients, including nitrous oxide, as well as ongoing support of physiologic birth, demonstrated by collaboration with community doula programs and one of the lowest cesarean-section rates in California. ZSFG nurse-midwives are members of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team with a shared commitment to providing respectful, culturally appropriate care to all patients and families.

Job Description

Under general nursing direction, the CNM functions within an organized system for the delivery of healthcare as a member of an interprofessional team. The CNM provides nurse-midwifery care in the Obstetrics, Midwifery, & Gynecology Clinic, Family Birth Center, and postpartum unit.
