RN PACU

USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Greater Heights  is seeking a motivated  Operating Room Nurse to join our team. We have 5 OR rooms and 3 Treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in ENT, General, GI, GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology. We are looking for a candidate to be available Monday-Friday, schedule subject to changed based on surgical schedule and flow of day. Candidate needs to be available for some early mornings and later evenings.

Position requires weekdays only no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required.

Job Summary :  Under the direct supervision of the Pre-Op / PACU manager, the PACU nurse is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.

Responsible for providing total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and / or sedation.

Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Required Skills : Qualifications :

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Currently licensed in the state
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in PACU or ICU
