Join the Embassy Suites Phoenix Biltmore family as our next Director of Engineering, where you will lead the Engineering team in overseeing the functionality, safety, and overall integrity of the property. In this pivotal role, you will work hands-on alongside your team to safeguard the well-being of our guests and team members while ensuring an exceptional hotel experience.

What will I be doing? Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards :

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee the functionality and safety of the facility, including physical buildings, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, heating and cooling systems, life safety systems, and grounds.
• Conduct facility inspections to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Assign, verify, and document completion of all routine maintenance and repairs in the property maintenance management system.
• Direct, oversee, and maintain required documentation for energy management and conservation and preventive maintenance programs.
• Lead, manage, and communicate information about capital projects and property rehabilitations, including scheduling, budgeting, and contractor compliance.
• Obtain required licenses and permits to ensure full compliance with codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Direct daily department operations, including guest service standards, product quality, inventory management, cost controls, and budgeting.
• Monitor and develop team member performance, providing supervision, professional development, and recognition.
• Leader and self-starter, with the ability to recruit, interview, and train, mentor and motivate team members.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, including experience with boilers, chillers, two-pipe heating systems.
• Ability to execute a maintenance plan across guest rooms, ensuring that the team has access to appropriate equipment and supplies.
