The Opportunity :

Tetra Tech is seeking an entry-level Engineer Intern (EI) or Professional Engineer (PE) in Civil / Environmental Engineering for our Ann Arbor or East Lansing, MI offices. This team provides design and construction management services for the City of East Lansing and surrounding municipalities, as well as municipal and industrial clients across the U.S. Applicants with prior internship, municipal, or consulting experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Position Summary :

As a Civil / Environmental Engineer, you will support the design and construction of wastewater and water utilities, stormwater drainage systems, and other municipal infrastructure projects, as well as industrial wastewater treatment projects. This position provides the opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Tetra Tech's offices and contribute to innovative infrastructure solutions.

Essential Job Functions :

• Take responsible charge of design on diverse infrastructure projects in water / wastewater treatment and conveyance, including QA / QC responsibility.
• Work collaboratively with teams across multiple office locations and support projects that may require occasional travel.
• Engage with infrastructure engineering experts across Tetra Tech's broad U.S. geography.
• Assist Project Managers in developing business and demonstrating technical expertise to clients.
• Stay informed of new and innovative approaches to municipal wastewater and water infrastructure design.
