Girasole, a mainstay of northern Virginia’s upscale dining community since 2004, seeks a dedicated Line cook to join its back-of-house culinary team, led by celebrated chef and owner Louis Patierno. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America with over 30 years of experience spanning both the stateside (Washington, D.C., Virginia, Pennsylvania, Iowa) and international (France, Italy) markets, Chef Patierno seeks a motivated professional to work alongside him in creating inspired menu selections, from time tested staples beloved by loyal clientele, to new dishes that make it a memorable dining experience for our guests.
In addition to an enthusiasm for producing creative menu selections, ideal candidates will also have a desire to grow their professional capabilities under the guidance Chef Patierno. The ability to take direction, while also supporting other members of the kitchen-team, is necessary for success in this role. While Line cook experience in a fine-dining setting is preferred, motivated candidates with reliable work histories can also be trained.
