Job Description :
Hands-on approach to plan, design, arrange, change, optimize, and lead the manufacturing processes, including all employees related to direct labor.
Tasks :
Ensure estimated cycle times are met by continuously improving process flows, removing unnecessary motion / processes, and eliminating waiting time.
Ensure short-term commitments are met by personally following the product and removing any obstacles.
Ensure long term commitments are met by properly planning manpower and machines
Monitoring and mentoring leads supervisors to improve efficiency
Develop goals for leads and supervisors to improve overall management skills
Hold leads and supervisors accountable for deadlines
Make decisions on the fly to keep production moving
Build employee schedules to best suit the needs of the company
Developing and implementing process control techniques and procedures into manufacturing environments.
Analyzing manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and throughput.
Collaborating with engineering regarding product tooling and design to ensure efficient production methods.
Conferring with vendors in determining product specifications and arranging equipment, parts, or material purchase, and evaluating products according to quality standards and specifications.
Estimating staffing requirements, production times, and relative costs to provide data for operational decisions.
Coordinate and implement technical training for employees.
Providing engineering support in the production department to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
Coordinating maintenance work assigned to technicians and outside vendors.
Review timecards and approve time off request as needed
Supporting company policies and procedures, goals and objectives, specified regulations, and goods manufacturing practices.

Preferred Experience and Education :
10+ years’ experience in Production Management
Bachelor’s or associate degree in mechanical engineering
Solid understanding of GD&T and metal fabrication processes
Reading and understanding technical documents and drawings
