About The Position
A leading Midwest health system is seeking a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon for a full-time locum assignment with immediate start options.
Position Overview
Full-time Need
Patient Contact Hours : 36 hrs / week
Schedule Options : 7 on / 7 off OR
2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
Start : ASAP - Call-only to start; clinic / OR may be added later
Clinic Hours : 7 : 30 AM - 4 : 30 PM (Mon-Fri)
Clinic Days : Mon-Fri
Procedure / OR Days : 2-4 per week
On-Call : Soft tissue call + clinic call / EMTALA rotation
Practice Details
Inpatient Coverage : Required
No Outreach, No Telehealth
Providers On Team : 1 MD + 1 APP
No APP Supervision Required
Nursing Support : 1 : 1
Imaging, Lab, Pharmacy : Onsite
Clinic Volume : 16+ patients / day
Appointment Length : 15-30 mins
Patient Demographics : All ages; surgical + cosmetic
EMR : Epic
Teaching Opportunities Available
Job Responsibilities
Trauma call
ER consults
In-office procedures
Reconstructive cases in collaboration with breast surgeons
Compensation
(Malpractice must be included in rates)
24-Hour On Call : $3200 (includes first 2 hrs gratis)
- Call Back : $350 ((after 2 hours gratis))
Travel Reimbursements
Flights : Up to $750 round trip (taxes / fees included)
Lodging : Up to 1.5× GSA rate (taxes / fees included)
Car Rental : Up to $55 / day
Mileage : IRS Standard
Submission Requirements
Board Certified Plastic Surgery
Active IA License OR IMLC LOQ
Experienced surgeon
Clean malpractice / no background issues
Available for required schedule (7 on / 7 off OR 2 on / 2 off)
