Job Title : Phlebotomist - Floater

Job Location : Wethersfield, CT

Job Duration : 2+ Months (Possible Extension / Temp to Hire)

Pay Range : $20.24 - $22 / hr. on W2

Shift : Mon - Fri between 6 am - 5 : 30 pm and alternating Saturdays 7 am - 12 pm (35 hrs / week)

Note : Float to cover West Hartford, Wethersfield, East Hartford, and Berlin sites between 6 am - 5 : 30 pm. Alternating Saturdays 7 am - 12 pm.

Job Summary :

The Patient Services Representative Floater is the frontline representative for patients seeking routine testing or critical diagnostic services. This role includes drawing high-quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and providing an excellent patient experience. The PSR III creates an atmosphere of trust and professionalism, explains procedures clearly, and performs venipuncture skillfully, safely, and accurately.

The PSR may work in multiple settings-including patient service centers, in-office phlebotomy sites, or physician offices-based on business needs. This role requires demonstrated leadership behaviors, strong process-excellence skills, and strict attention to confidentiality and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities :

Specimen Collection & Processing :

• Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection following established practices and procedures.
• Execute accurate venipuncture and capillary collection, including pediatric and geriatric draws.
• Verify patient demographics, initials, and signatures after specimen collection to confirm correct labeling.
• Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing accurately and on time.
