Senior Network Development Engineer, Kuiper Enterprise Network Infrastructure

As a Senior Network Development Engineer you will drive the operational strategy and excellence of Kuipers global network infrastructure. You will lead critical programs across manufacturing facilities research labs launch sites and mission operations centers while developing and mentoring a team of network development engineers to ensure operational excellence at scale.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead the deployment and ongoing maintenance of complex network solutions in manufacturing and lab environments
- Drive operational excellence programs across multiple sites and network domains
- Lead incident management for highest severity network events
- Establish best practices for network operations across global facilities
- Create and own operational readiness programs for new site deployments
- Lead root cause analysis for complex multi-system operational issues
- Develop and execute operational improvement roadmaps
- Build and lead programs for team training and skill development
- Serve as the primary escalation point for critical network operational issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network reliability for mission-critical operations

A day in the life
Your day begins reviewing network monitoring alerts across manufacturing facilities and mission operations centers. Youll analyze traffic patterns and capacity needs for the factory floor while planning network expansion for new lab spaces. You will participate in the deployment of network solutions for upcoming launch sites contract manufacturing partners and testing facilities. You will coordinate with vendors on WAN circuit installations troubleshoot routing issues affecting production systems and mentor team members on complex network deployments. Youll participate in change management meetings schedule maintenance windows and document network modifications. Throughout the day youll handle escalations from manufacturing teams validate network security controls and ensure high availability across all sites. The role requires balancing immediate operational needs with strategic planning and improvement of processes and procedures in order to maintain network reliability for mission-critical operations.

This is an on-site role that requires employees to work from the companys office 5 days per week. Remote work is not an option for this position. The role will include up to 25% of business travel.

- 5 years of automation scripting using Python Bash Shell and/or Perl experience
- 8 years of major internet routing protocols experience
- 5 years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience

- Experience with AWS and AWS networking products such as Direct Connect and Transit Gateway

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
