Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) Home Health Full-Time

As a Home Health Occupational Therapist Assistant heres a big-picture view of what youll do :

  • Provide occupational therapy to patients unable to perform daily tasks due to an illness or injury
  • Work as part of a home health team which may include an RN LPN CNA HHA PT and SLP focused on the patients plan of care and personal goals
  • Assist patient with exercises to improve fine motor skills and coordination
  • Suggest adaptive equipment such as grab bars and shower chairs to offer added support
  • Introduce strategies to improve home safety
  • Educate patient and family on plan of care exercises goals and self-care

    • A few must-haves for Home Health Occupational Therapist Assistants :

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program and active OTA license in Kansas
  • CPR certification
  • Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations
  • Good clinical judgment strong interpersonal skills resourceful and compassionate
